3-Day Marrakech Itinerary: A Day-by-Day Template

A thousand-year-old imperial city of red walls at the foot of the Atlas. Three days covers the medina, the palaces and gardens, and a day up into the mountains, which is the part people wish they had left more time for.

Best time: March to May and September to November: warm days, cool nights, and the Atlas still holding snow.
The medinaDay 1

๐Ÿ“6:30 PM

Best time to goMarch to May and September to November: warm days, cool nights, and the Atlas still holding snow. June to August regularly passes 40ยฐC. Winter days are pleasant and the nights genuinely cold.
Getting aroundThe medina is walking-only in practice, and you will get lost, which is fine and part of it. Petit taxis handle trips outside the walls; agree the fare or insist on the meter before setting off.
Local tip: Haggling is expected in the souks and should be good-humoured. Offers to guide you to a tannery or a "special market today" usually end in a shop with a commission. Dress modestly, and note that non-Muslims cannot enter most working mosques here.
