Three days is enough for Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and one of the outlying islands, because the transport is fast, cheap and goes almost everywhere you want.

Best time to goOctober to December for dry, clear, comfortable days. Spring is humid and often grey; summer brings typhoon season.
Getting aroundThe MTR reaches nearly everything and an Octopus card works on the metro, buses, trams and the Star Ferry. The double-decker trams on Hong Kong Island are slow and worth it once.
Local tip: Take the Star Ferry across the harbour at least once after dark. It costs a few dollars, runs constantly, and gives you the skyline view that the expensive rooftop bars are selling.
